I did not need any services provided by this insurance, so I don’t really know how well Nationwide services a claim. But, the price was competitive with others, and the fact that you are located in the same state I live in, made me feel more comfortable.

Our trip to Cuba was plagued by problems that included delayed and cancelled flights that forced us to stay overnight at the DFW airport in both directions. In addition, luggage was lost and did not arrive in Cuba until five days into a one-week trip.
The claims process was very demanding; despite sending in 30 pages of documentation, the adjuster kept asking for more. In the end, using numerous loopholes, the company got out of paying us much at all -- essentially we got about the price of the policy, while remaining out of pocket for approximately $2000. I would not use this company again.

Bought policy for peace of mind. Didn’t have to use but it was there.When trips to Cuba were stopped by US government,we were worried about trip cancellation coverage but our trip was grandfathered so no problem.Didn’t contact Nationwide so don’t know how that would have turned out.

I never take a trip without obtaining insurance. However, I usually get CFAR (
CANCEL for any reason) For this trip unfortunately it was cost prohibitive.
