The assurance you get from knowing that your trip is covered if anything goes wrong - sickness, accidents, etc. - is well worth the cost of the trip insurance. One lady broke her arm while boarding the ship and she missed the cruise. We saw another man who had fallen and was taken off on a stretcher. Trip insurance is a good thing to have.

Obviously, one can only comment if one makes a claim. I did not but prior to travel I was contacted by InsureMyTrip to let me know what my options were because Carnival cruise lines was cancelling some cruises. We weren't affected by Carnival but it was good to get the communication from InsureMyTrip. Thanks!
