We always use InsureMyTrip for all of our vacations. Fortunately, we have never had to file a claim, but we travel worry-free knowing we have the coverage should anything ever happen.

Basically you're shopping for coverage vs. price. No rocket surgery here. These guys seemed to have the best deal based on the homework I did.

Since I had no claim, it is hard to give a review. I would not have purchased the plan if I did not think it would suit my needs. I also thought it was very reasonably priced compared to similar plans.

I only filed one claim with the company and that was for an medical emergency. The fee for treatment was a reasonable 75.00. TruTravel reimbursed 25.00. A few years ago we used American Express as our travel insurer and had a similar incident. American Express reimbursed for the entire amount. Not a fan of TruTravel and will not use them in the future.

There is a $50.00 deductible for all medical claims on the TruTravel Super Saver plan.Sep 26,2011
