Never buying it again, would not cover refunding son's portion of an excursion due to him being injured the evening before while on an excursion, told me to not even bother making a claim. In advance of making the purchase, they said not being able to make an excursion for ANY reason would be covered, then after they hid behind their fancy language and said it was only covered if the parties could not continue on the ENTIRE vacation, not just the one excursion. I asked a LOT of detailed question in advance because we were buying 2 very expensive excursions directly from the vendor, vs through the cruise line and making sure the excursions were covered was one of the key items we wanted to confirm.

Thank you for your review. All policies have listed covered reasons in which you can file a claim for reimbursement and they require documentation in order to be able to file a claim. In the event of an injury, or sickness, that affects a traveler and the trip you will need documentation from a doctor and documentation from your travel supplier showing how the trip was affected. In the future, we suggest contacting us or the assistance center if something happens while traveling and we can best assist you with understanding what to do. My wife has some chronic medical issues so we need protection when we plan a trip. I shopped around and found this company. This was a great value and it offered multiple choices of plans. We almost needed it while traveling but fortunately everything worked out, but it was nice knowing that the policy was there. I will buy again on our next trip.

We have been buying trip insurance for many years, and aside from a couple of small trip delay claims, have never had a claim. Until now.
We purchased the insurance in March when we made a deposit on a trip to Vietnam, and more critically, also purchased the quite expensive flights. The trip was to leave in late December. By October, it had become obvious that my wife's hip problem would make the trip impossible. So we canceled the trip and were out about $4300. Hence, our first ever major claim.
I contacted the claims department and was emailed all the documents with instructions. Once we procured the medical verification from our doctor, all was submitted by email and the claim was paid in full. Me, my wife and her new hip hope to reschedule the trip in the future, which will be just that much easier to do since we suffered no financial loss on this canceled trip. This insurance worked perfectly, and the claims process was easy, efficient and fair.
