I felt the plan was an excellent value except for one thing. I booked what I thought was a 14 day plan, but the dates of travel were actually 15 days of coverage. I was charged another $50 for an extra day coverage, and was told that plan charged for extra week of coverage because there was no rate for extra day. I would have paid same for 21 days.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We understand why you would be disappointed by having to pay additional premium, but it is of critical importance to list the correct departure and return dates on the policy. Claims can be denied if you do not cover from the day you leave your home until the day you return to your home. Unfortunately, in doing the proper thing, you had to pay additional premium.Mar 18,2015

I must say that for the price it was very reassuring to have the coverage. Several years ago I did have a small claim for strep throat on the cruise, and they reimbursed me within a week of submitting my claim. Please don't hesitate, Nationwide is a great company.

When I made my reservations, I was not thinking about what could happen between the time I purchased my trip and the departure date. All I knew was that I was going and that was it. 1 month before the scheduled vacation my mother had a stroke and was going through a slow recovery. I decided to check into insurance and found this insurance. The price only $29 more than I would have paid had I bought it right away. Buying insurance is important because anything can happen and the cost was worth it so I could sleep at night.
