First time we have filed a claim. Took some work getting all the documentations that is required when you cancel a cruise. I did all they asked and was rewarded with my money back fairly quickly. Thank you Nationwide.

I went on a cruise to Hawaii and it was so rough we were unable to stop in Maui where I had a hotel reserved. I called and was told this was not trip interruption and I should have gotten cruise insurance. I got this insurance because I was going places other than the cruise (like Maui). Anyway, I'm out $300.00 and the cost of the useless insurance.

Thank you for your review. Most travel insurance policies do not cover what occurred during your trip. There are some insurance providers that offer Cruise policies, these are policies that offer cruise specific benefits. Benefits can include Itinerary Change, Port of Call Change, Shipboard Service Disruption and others. We were very happy with this plan and will get it again for our next trip. Of all the years getting travel insurance, this was the first time we had to use it. It was just for the cost of a hotel stay due to our flight being delayed due to weather and missing our connection. We received reimbursement in a timely manner.
