I have actually purchased this insurance before. My first purchase was when I went to Costa Rica and experienced a very unfortunate accident on my first day. I had a compound fracture of my ankle in 3 places. I had to be transported by helicopter to the hospital in San Jose for surgery. Everyone was so helpful from the clinic to the surgeon. The only issue I had was my insurance wasn't accepted at the hospital and I had to pay upfront and get re-reimbursed by the insurance co. The language barrier and money conversion was somewhat confusing, but other than that it was a great experience with this insurance.

Purchased because of a family member's age. Brings peace of mind if needed that I can have the cost of the trip reimbursed, if necessary. I also liked the emergency evacuation feature. Didn't use either, thank God.

I did not have to file a claim thankfully and we had an uneventful (and wonderful) trip. It gave us peace of mind to know we had coverage should something happen to prevent us from taking the trip. We felt the coverage options provided and the price were very good, thank you!

Obviously, one can only comment if one makes a claim. I did not but prior to travel I was contacted by InsureMyTrip to let me know what my options were because Carnival cruise lines was cancelling some cruises. We weren't affected by Carnival but it was good to get the communication from InsureMyTrip. Thanks!
