As I did not file a claim, it is difficult to judge how good this policy would be when it comes down to conducting the business of settling someone's problem. I know that for the short business trip I was taking, the policy appears to have covered the things of a great concern for me: trip interruption, trip cancellation, lost luggage (since some of mine was work-related). And for under $30, it seems to take a good deal into consideration for such a reasonable price. I would not have chosen it had I not read reviews from others who had actually filed claims. I have two more trips upcoming -- both for pleasure, so TruTravel will definitely be at the top of my list when I'm seeking quotes.

I was so happy to find InsureMyTrip.com. I had tried other insurers but there was a flaw in their policy guidelines. If I needed to cancel my trip because of a family issue, I needed to make sure that all my family members were considered family under their policy. If you have "step" family members, you need to query your travel insurer in great detail making sure all members are covered. In my case while shopping for coverage, all "step" members were covered with the exception of "step siblings". Somehow those important family members were omitted from guidelines of at least two companies I contacted. Once I found InsureMyTrip.com, that problem went away. Their policy guidelines covered ALL "step" family members. I will certainly use InsureMyTrip.com again in the future. They were outstanding to work with and found the right coverage just for me.

My wife have done extensive traveling both within the United States and abroad. I have always bought trip insurance but fortunately, until this last trip, have never needed it. We had to cancel our trip due to my wife's experiencing a medical problem en route. I submitted a claim for non-refundable expenses which was paid fairly and promptly. I am very pleased with the way the claim was processed and settled. I will heartily recommend InsureMyTrip to friends and relatives.
