We wanted coverage that made practical sense by covering the things that could possibly go wrong on any normal international vacation and we wanted it from a reputable vendor for a reasonable price given the market. We used this ins for when my son went to France in November. Fortunately we did not have to use it. In comparing other plans I liked the cost verses what was covered. I didn't realize my health ins wouldn't cover him in a foreign country so I opted for a plan that paid more in that area. Again, very fortunate not to have to use it. We have another child going to Italy in the spring and I will be using Nationwide again for his trip.

I studied the various plans on the website and then purchased the plan on the phone. The person I spoke to on the phone was extremely knowledgeable and helped me choose the best plan for me. I wanted a plan with good emergency evacuation coverage so I chose the plan accordingly. I also went by the plan rating. I'm glad I purchased the insurance and glad I didn't need emergency evacuation or medical care.
