I did not have to file a claim this time. but the peace of mind, when you are relying on bush flights to keep you on a semi-schedule, by having trip insurance was great. Next time we do this sort of thing, we'll be back.

Although, we did not need to file a claim, it was relieving to know that every aspect of our trip would be covered in the event of an emergency or need to cancel. We were able to insure our flights, hotel stay and cruise for less then insurance offered by he cruise line, which would have only cover the cruise itself.

I studied the various plans on the website and then purchased the plan on the phone. The person I spoke to on the phone was extremely knowledgeable and helped me choose the best plan for me. I wanted a plan with good emergency evacuation coverage so I chose the plan accordingly. I also went by the plan rating. I'm glad I purchased the insurance and glad I didn't need emergency evacuation or medical care.

We bought this plan primarily to protect for medical and evacuation reasons but had to file a claim due to delays in our return home. They handled the claim and paid within 10 days of filing. I cannot have been happier with the service received with this policy.

While I'm no expert on travel insurance policies, I have worked in the insurance biz and found this policy's language more straightforward than other policies I looked at. Since my trip didn't involve a rental car, I was looking for a policy that didn't include expensive rental car protection and this one fit the bill.
