Coverage gave me peace of mind and purchased the "Acts of War (Terror) Waiver," which for this day and age seems reasonable. Also purchased additional AD&D insurance underwritten for less expense through a different carrier, but nevertheless offered by my very helpful InsureMyTrip sales rep.

Good news, in regard to your comment about naming beneficiaries on your policy, the beneficiary field on our site allows you enough room to name primary beneficiaries and secondary beneficiaries for each traveler. It is important to our family to have a policy that will fly us where we want to go for medical care once we are stable rather than a Dr. outside of the United States deciding where we will seek medical treatment.
We believe it is extremely important for individuals purchasing these policies to understand the differences between coverages. In our opinion ,most individuals will probably seek the more expensive policy if it is explained to them.
