Your condition of having to purchase insurance, for full/all coverages offered, within a few days of booking is unreasonable. I book cruises 1-2 years in advance, so this is not convenient. Many times the cruise line changes the dates of the cruise, sometimes more than once, so this creates extra work for me. I wish you would pick a more reasonable time frame, like 120 days.

Cruise ship did not go to Bermuda because of Hurricane Nicole but couldn't file a claim because of that. Otherwise, we had the peace of mind of having the travel insurance and were fortunate enough that there was no need to use it.

Since my kids were born and we started to travel with them, I always buy insurance now, just in case. And we travel a lot, never got to file a claim, until our last trip, where my son got sick and required some treatment while we were abroad. I collected all papers and filed a claim online, the process was easy. The only drawback was complete lack of response. The status online was showing "the claim is under review", and the status has not changed for 2-3 weeks, then I started emailing them online asking to give any update or at least give some estimation on how long it might take. No answer. Then I called them, and very polite agent told me they will expedite my request. The very next day I got the call that my claim was approved and they have mailed the check. I got the check within 5 days. So, I am satisfied that my claim got approved and paid off. The only drawback was the lack of communication and updates on the progress.

I was in Europe and ended up in a German hospital. My tour was cut short and we flew back to London to catch a flight to the US. AIG was in touch with my daughter the whole time. They paid for our expenses without question with the receipts
