Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
I did not need to file a claim for this trip, but I have filed 4 claims with Nationwide travel insurance over the last several years, and all 4 were handled promptly and courteously. We will continue to use Nationwide for our cruise travel insurance.

Seems like good coverage but how is one to know unless they make a claim?? That is the only way to know just how comprehensive the coverage is and how helpful the service is……
Fortunately my trip went well, no mishaps and no need to utilize insurance coverage.

If you contract COVID-19 prior to your departure, you may be covered for Trip Cancellation if there is a confirmed diagnosis, including proof of illness from your doctor that states you are medically unable to travel at the time of departure. If you become ill with COVID-19 while on a covered trip, you could be covered for Medical Expense, Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, and Emergency Medical Evacuation benefits if there is a confirmed diagnosis, including proof of illness from a doctor.
Trip Interruption can provide coverage for the unused portion of your prepaid and non-refundable expenses, as well as additional transportation expenses incurred to return home or rejoin your trip.
Trip Delay can provide coverage for additional expenses you may incur for hotel, meals and certain transportation costs incurred if you are required by a physician to quarantine.

You are the worst insurance company I have had ever. The insurance I bought with you is the most horrible. I had to cancel my trip back in December due to illness, and I still cannot get my money back.

It was basic insurance. You buy it and hope you never need it. That was our case. I signed up for the plan, it was reasonably priced, and thankfully never really thought about it again.
