We didn't need to use the travel insurance, thankfully, but it was reassuring to know we had it if needed. The Generali Global Assistance Preferred plan provides great coverage at a reasonable price.

Did we really need your insurance? We were advised to get it, so we did. We spoke to other people on our cruise + they did not get insurance. They had enough in savings + credit cards to cover any expense. I suppose if anything had happened to us, we would be glad we had it.

No adverse events requiring any claims with this policy. The coverage was mandated by the tour company (gAdventures) that we used to travel through Turkey for 16 days.

I still feel that I am owed a refund for the insurance I purchased but couldn't use due to covid. Initially I was told I had a "credit voucher"; when I called this year to use my credit, your rep said it was expired and I should have asked for a refund. Why wasn't I told I could have gotten a refund back in 2020!? Covid lasted over 3 years, and this was the first time I could travel. I still want my refund.

Company was very responsive. When a family member at home was hospitalized we had to reach out to review coverage in case we were needed back home. Although we did not have to interrupt our vacation, the agent we called was very knowledgeable and helpful in advising us on how to proceed with a claim if necessary.

Ive only had to file a trip insurance claim once due to a health issue. That "1" time convinced me that if you are investing in an expensive trip (everyone has their own definition of expensive) then it's worth buying insurance.
Life happens. Best to have it and not use it than not have it and have regret. This trip I did not file a claim but felt good that I had it "just in case"
