I submitted the required documents and months later they asked for more information including wanting a statement from the physician in Peru who speaks no English . I called customer service and was treated with a very rude response. I don’t know why they are making this so difficult. My claim was for less than $400 and I received an email today stating that the claim is closed. Why? This seems like fraud.
I have used other companies on Insure My Trip and was extremely satisfied. There’s no way I can recommend this company. Regrettably I have them insuring my upcoming trip on a cruise. I will see if I can change to another company. Absolutely horrible experience!

We did have to file a claim with John Hancock for a total cancellation of our vacation. While no one likes to have to miss out on their vacation it was very reassuring to have this John Hancock coverage. At the time we booked our trip all was well but a last minute medical issue arose forcing us to cancel. This policy was the right option for us and the claim was handled quickly and hassle free, covering all of our non refunded costs. When we have travel plans in the future we will use John Hancock trip insurance again. I highly recommend this company.

This plan was a first payer on claims so that is major plus. The company was very quick to respond to my notice of a claim with documentation and very prompt in settling the claim.It was a wonderful experience dealing with them.Highly recommended.

I had a change in travel plans (flights changed) so I had to adjust the dates on the insurance. The InsureMyTrip customer representative was very helpful, walked me through the process and made the change with no hassle. I am very pleased with the policy and the service.

Fortunately, I did not need to use the AXA Assistance USA Gold plan, but I felt perfectly satisfied about the coverage. For me, as a single widow, the price was a little extravagant!
