Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
I believe it is unconscionable that in order to waive the pre-existing condition requirement, you have to buy the insurance plan within 1-2 weeks after initial deposit. This is a rip-off. If you book a year in advance of the cruise, Nationwide gets to play with your money for a year, for free. Nice.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We hope that fellow customers will find your review and our response to be educational and informative.
Most Comprehensive Plans will offer a waiver of pre-existing conditions if you meet the following conditions: You purchase the policy within 10 to 21 days of making your first trip payment; insure ALL prepaid non-refundable expenses prior to your departure date; and be medically fit to travel the day you purchase the policy.
We also have some plans that offer a waiver of pre-existing conditions if you meet the following conditions: You purchase the policy prior to or on the same day as your final pre-paid trip payment; insure ALL prepaid non-refundable expenses prior to your departure date; and be medically fit to travel the day you purchase the policy.

I never had to use it, however, the cost and coverage was reasonable upon any emergency I might could have had. Thankful it was not needed and glad the cost was a minimum fee compared to the other plan that was available through the cruise ship.

For many years, I have used insuremytrip to compare and purchase insurance for trips in the US and abroad. I have always been pleased with the plans that have been offered and the price points based on the cost of a trip.
