This plan provide us a good balance of cost and coverage. However, we did not experience any event that would cause us to file a claim. It was significantly lower in price than the insurance the tour company offered. Insuremytrip makes it easy to compare and purchase insurance.

For medical reasons, we had to cancel a portion of the trip in advance of traveling. AXA kindly reimbursed us for non refundable trip deposits under the claim and continued keeping the policy in force for the balance of the trip. They demonstrated thoughtful and sound decision making, even though they had the option to terminate the policy at the time of the claim.

I did this plan to cover two trips combined into one as it was more reasonable financially and coverage-wise than taking insurance from two separate entities and because I booked my own air reservations.I trust it would have provided coverage if I had any problems.
