Thank you for your review and feedback. Some insurance companies will base your price partly by determining how close you are to your departure date. The logic is that the less time you have before departure, the less likely you will have a trip cancellation claim. This is likely why you say a lower price when you checked a week or so later. We are available seven days a week to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Weather can and does reek havoc with travel plans. Because of a thunderstorm over Raleigh I had to spent the night in Newark. All I needed to get was an irregularity report, which was no trouble. I was re-booked on a flight to Raleigh for the next day. The claims process was easy to follow. SO glad I had this insurance.

Plan was very comprehensive when traveling to 6 countries in Europe. Due to each country's differences, medical, baggage, and travel delay were critical in comparison to just trip cancellation.

Our travel agent agent insisted we take travel insurance for this trip which included airfare and cruise in the Baltic. We did not need the insurance but we were pleased to have had the coverage "just in case"

We had to cancel a trip due to health reasons and, much to my relief, Travelex paid the claim promptly. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was helpful and I have always had good experiences with them in the past. However, I had never filed a claim before, and I was a little concerned that the insurance company would look for small, nit-picky reasons not to pay the claim, and/or create onerous administrative processes. That was not the case here -- I filed the paperwork and had a check in my mailbox about 2 weeks later. I'm rating them at 4-stars for claim processing instead of the top mark of 5-stars only because they made an error in calculating the claim amount, which required a few phone calls to fix -- though again to their credit, they promptly sent a second check for the remaining amount. The claims process would benefit from some modernization, as well -- I had to send hard copy forms in by fax or mail, when it would have been easier just to file the claim online and upload my documentation.
