Before I purchased my coverage I read many reviews and wondered if any of them actually submitted a claim (the reviews were all so glowing). I never wanted to submit a claim, however it turned out that I had a medical emergency and needed emergency care at the Denali Clinic and then needed to be airlifted back to Anchorage Providence Hospital. The care I received was incredible and the team at Insure My Trip were beyond incredible! They were there to answer all my questions and when it came to reimbursement for monies that I paid out, they covered everything. I will never take another trip without this coverage. Special thanks to Deidre in Claims who was always available to answer questions and assist with the claims! Thank you!

This seems like a totally unfair response to our claim. The flight we were scheduled to fly on to the Pribilof Islands either had a pilot not show up or he showed up under the influence and therefore the "operational shortage." It was a three-and-half hour flight across the ocean. How could that be accomplished without a pilot?
We will never use your insurance again nor will we recommend it to others. This is the only claim we have ever made for travel insurance.
We were asking for only $500. which was our non-refundable deposit. We paid you $602.90 for the policy which was of no use whatsoever.

We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. The plan you purchased can provide coverage if your flight is cancelled as a result of a mechanical breakdown of the aircraft, adverse weather, or an organized labor strike. Unfortunately the reasons you mention in your review are not considered mechanical breakdowns or organized strikes.
