Since I did not have a claim on the plan, I can't really evaluate how good "it would have been". The people I talked to on the phone were knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I had confidence traveling with the protection provided. Since I am 71, I was asked to get my physician to certify that I was able to travel on the day that I purchased the insurance. I did that but it was inconvenient to get an appointment, have them enter a letter in my files and purchase the insurance on the same day. Is that really necessary? Couldn't you specify some window between the purchase time and physician's certification? That is my only complaint.

Thank you for your review. A letter from a physician is typically not required. However, if a customer mentions a medical condition they may have, it may be recommended to obtain a letter stating you are fit to travel etc. for your own benefit should you need to file a claim.Jul 05,2013

Really only one thing to add -- the fact that I had this health insurance eased my way through the thorny and expensive Russian visa process. They would like to know that if you get seriously ill in Russia, they won't be stuck with the bill.

As you know the ultimate test in any insurance plan is how claims are processed and paid. Since I was lucky enough not to submit a claim, I cannot judge the ultimate worthiness of the plan.

I continue to use the Travelex Travel Select plan because I had to file a claim with them a few years ago; the process was simple and they paid promptly. Prior to that, I had insured with another company and they didn't trust me and they didn't trust the travel companies I used. In addition to filling out all the forms, I also had to supply credit card statements showing payments to the travel companies. I thought that was a bit much and haven't used them since.

THIS WAS THE 3RD POLICY I BOUGHT FROM YOU. I HAVE NOW BOUGHT A POLICY FOR ANOTHER TRIP IN JULY. I HAVE USED CSA EACH TIME AND FIND THEM TO BE GREAT AT CLAIMS THE ONE TIME I HAD CLAIMS. CSA PRICES ARE VERY GOOD FOR THE COVERAGE THEY SUPPLY. THANKS
