After shopping around I found this to be the best value. I did have an issue with my trip and spoke to a representative who was very strait forward with what is covered and what is not. They were very helpful. I ended up having a great vacation and it was comforting to know I was covered if a medical situation arose while I was out hiking, biking, zip lining and river rafting. Thankfully I did not have to make a claim to the insurance.

Not being an "insurance professional" I evidently purchased the wrong type of plan for our cruise. I sure wish they still had actual humans to TALK to and discuss/explain the options available and guide you to the correct plan.
Our trip was interrupted and we missed 2 of the main ports/stops. The insurance plan I purchased did not cover this! My paperwork was very misleading and have to be an attorney to understand the wording and exactly what I purchased.
I called customer service but not even sure they were with Nationwide or a broker.

We had an incident with our rental car, that wasn’t included in our regular auto insurance, of course we declined the Rental agency’s coverage, thinking we had the best and when we purchased the travel insurance we didn’t get the coverage for Rental Car. Since this was our first time getting travel insurance, we now know better! I was however grateful for the help of the travel insurance agent, as she directed us to contact our credit card company for the coverage we needed! Thank you for the help provided and saving the rest of our trip!

My claim was for medical trip cancellation and was essentially ignored for a number of weeks, even after repeated calls. They used a technicality to avoid reimbursement for airfare. They eventually reimbursed for the expenses of 2 hotel nights and the trip deposit and an airline administrative fee, but it took on the order of two to three months. There claims process is by paper form.
