First time we ever filed a travel insurance claims--I thought it might be a grind, long delays and having to provide more and more documentation. Instead, I filed all our receipts, described our trip interruption and what we did to make our way home. Less than 2 weeks later, the full claim amount was accepted without our having to do anything else. Direct deposit is on its way. This is how insurance is supposed to work!

As a result of the Bomb Cyclone Blizzard in Denver, we were able to reschedule our flights and hotel reservations through Southwest Vacations. Nationwide was a pleasure to work with in being able to reschedule our insurance dates so that we could be covered for our rescheduled vacation.

great having that piece of mind as we had another cruise passenger that had to be taken off the ship in Mexico and I don't know if they had any additional coverage. I was thinking the whole time glad I had this extra policy as that could have been me.

The fact that my husband's plant that he manages is new, we had concerns that he could possibly be unable to travel should something go askew. Having the travel insurance cover the possibility he might have to cancel gave us great peace in making the reservations back in November.

Although the number one covered reason for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption is the unforeseen illness or injury of you or a traveling companion that deems you unfit to travel, by order of a licensed physician; or the unforeseen hospitalization or death of a family member, there are other covered reasons to cancel or interrupt your trip that will vary by plan. Cancel for Work Reasons is available on the Crum and Forster Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite for an additional premium.

We regret to hear that your claim was denied. No one ever wants to hear that there is no coverage for a cancelled trip. However, Trip Cancellation only reimburses if your reason for cancellation is a covered reason listed in your policy. Unfortunately, Mechanical Breakdown of your Common Carrier is not listed as a covered reason.
