In the future, if you experience an issue with a claim, please call InsureMyTrip at 800-487-4722 and request a Customer Advocate. In a situation where a claim is taking an usually long time to process, our Customer Advocates will contact the insurance company on the customers behalf in attempt to expedite the claim.
This plan has very good coverage with higher limits than other plans that I have looked at. This is the fifth time that I have purchased TravCam Premier. Fortunately, I did not have to file a claim for this trip. I did file a claim for another trip that I had to cancel earlier this year when my husband broke his ankle. The company made the process easy. When I called them to say I had to cancel they emailed me the forms. There were only a few pages to fill out.
You do need to send copies of all receipts of payment and a copy of the cancellation policy for each item that you are asking for a refund. For example, tours, airline tickets, and hotels. I make sure that I have copies of the cancellation policy with all of my confirmations then you don't have to search for them in the event you have to file a claim. If you are organized and have all of your confirmations and purchase receipts together while you are planning the trip you just have to make copies to send in with your claim.

It was nice knowing it was there if I needed it. I bought it primarily for the medical coverage, but almost missed a connecting flight so I was happy with the comprehensive policy.

Plan covered everything I was concerned about, especially the cost of having to cancel and re-book flight tickets made with frequent flyer miles. I didn't use this feature but it gave me security to know that it was there if an issue arose and I was covered for airline ticket change fees. Also this policy provided more comprehensive medical coverage. Will use it again for my trip next summer.

C&F Travel Insured InternationalWorldwide Trip Protector Plus
Soon after I had arrived at my beautiful Swiss destination, I heard that my 89 year old mother had fallen and broken her hip, and was hospitalized, and was going to need surgery. I had to cut my trip short, but the insurance company paid for my losses of pre-paid train tickets, pre-paid hotels, airline ticket charges, and telephone costs.
The hotel that I was forced to stay at the night before my newly booked air travel was not covered. It seems they only pay for non- refundable charges, not charges that are incurred as a result of the illness of family member. The insurance company was wonderfully helpful. It took a little time for them to process the claim, but I was impressed and happy with the outcome. I would very much recommend them!
