Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Simply said, a great plan. Fortunately, there were no incidents requiring a claim but I felt confident we were covered if anything should occur. I especially liked the information packet which outlines coverages and who to call if you have any issues. I would not hesitate to use JH Insurance again for my next trip.

We had to change some parts of our reservation and there was no way to contact the AXA customer service to alert them. If we had had a problem while on the trip perhaps you wouldn't have covered us since there was a change. You should make it easier to contact someone in the event of changes or questions.

In most cases, a policy can be amended if InsureMyTrip or the insurance provider is notified before the scheduled departure date. InsureMyTrip is open and available by telephone and email Monday- Friday 7am - Midnight EST and Weekends from 9am - 9pm EST. I ended up not going. After getting the run a round about who to file a claim with for the cancellation for any reason because I was told I was one day late---then when I spoke with the agent about getting a cancellation due to medical reasons because I had 8 appointments at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, I was told i needed to get proof that I had medical reasons, the problems, and the reason that my appointments were required to take place during the time I was supposed to travel.
I have had more pleasant experiences with other companies and I will return to using other companies for my next trip.
You guys blew it!

The number one covered reason for Trip Cancellation on the John Hancock Insurance Agency, Inc. Gold plan is an:
"Accidental Injury, Sickness or death of You, Your Traveling Companion, Your Family Member, or Your
Business Partner; which results in medically imposed restrictions as certified by a Physician at the time of loss preventing Your participation or continued participation in the Covered Trip. A Physician must advise cancellation of the Covered Trip on or before the Scheduled Departure Date."
In order to receive reimbursement for your covered trip cost, you must complete and submit a Trip Cancellation claim from to the claim administrator. A section of the claim from must be completed and signed by the treating physician because the trip was cancelled due to medical reason. This is industry standard protocol. Disaster struck immediately as our first of three connecting flights was cancelled. Had to purchase a last minute replacement with a different airline at full fare. Filed a claim with Travelex that took a little longer than I expected, but 4 months after filing the claim I received a reimbursement check for the cost of the replacement flight. Travel insurance was worth it.

The MH Ross Advantage Bridge plan was very easy to purchase and covered everything we wanted. Obviously we were happy that we had no need to file a claim!

Accident and Sickness Medical Benefits will include up to $750 expenses for emergency dental treatment due to Injury to natural teeth.
“Injury†or “Injuries†means bodily harm caused by an Accident which: 1) occurs while Your coverage is in effect under the Policy; and 2) requires examination and treatment by a Legally Qualified Physician. The Injury must be the direct cause of loss and must be independent of all other causes and must not be caused by, or result from, Sickness.
