I had to make a claim for a trip delay due to Covid. The company finally paid the claim, but it took about 6 months. Part of the delay was because they sent me the incorrect forms to fill out. The rest of the delay was unexplained. Also, the call center has extremely long hold times (upwards of one to two hours).

You buy travel insurance to feel secure in case something goes wrong with your plans. In our case nothing went wrong but we felt secure knowing we had coverage.

It's difficult to rate a plan when there was no claim. I had to cancel our trip due to illness of my son-in-law needing emergency brain surgery. The timing fell into the resorts cancellation policy. Therefore I didn't need to use the insurance.

I contracted Covid right before the trip. The Trawick International plan's claim processing representatives were helpful in assisting me to file my claim for trip cancellation. The claims department fully reimbursed me for the trip cancellation. I am very satisfied.

they are IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of, their online system does not allow for an account, no matter how many times I set one up it doesn't allow me to log into it. I've used insure my trip to buy policies every time I've traveled and hands down C&F is the WORST I've ever taken and would NEVER buy with them again.

I had a lovely trip to Dubai, Senegal& Gambia with 5 friends from October 31-November 18, 2022! Thankfully our trip went relatively smoothly& only 1out of 12 suitcases was left behind but returned within 36hours! I thank GGA for coverage!

My flight was cancelled due to a "computer glitch" after waiting 2 hours on the plane and another few hours in the airport and Generali told us that this did not fall under "mechanical defect" so we were not reimbursed $800.

I filed a straightforward claim for a relatively small amount of money, "cancel for any reason", and the proper paperwork was submitted at that time. I was informed today that the claim will not be reviewed for 60 BUSINESS DAYS, due to limited staffing, etc. This is unacceptable, and apparently I do not have any other means of expediting the process. Waiting 12 weeks for the claim process to BEGIN is not reasonable, and will prevent me from buying from Nationwide again, or recommending the company to anyone else.

I apologize for the delay with your claim. Prior to the pandemic, travel insurance claims were typically processed within 30 days provided that all necessary documentation was sent in. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the volume of requests has become quite overwhelming over the last year and the normal processing time for claims with most Providers in the travel insurance industry is around 3-4 months.
