Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
We did not use this since everything went as planned without problems. I would only recommend buying insurance after speaking directly to a person. I tried doing things online and had some issues. I found out I could not put my son and myself on the same plan. The agent was very helpful and carefully explained everything and found me the the best plan for the best price.

In order to insure travelers under the same Comprehensive policy, the travelers must all live in the same state. In addition, travelers with different travel dates must purchase separate policies.
I chose this plan because it paid as a Primary Source but It was really expensive because of our ages, 77 & 83. I see this insurance cost as an unavoidable luxury because of the secure feeling I get just in case something happens. I don't want the hassle of dealing with Secondary Coverage which means you have to go through all of your possible providers & insurers before collecting on your travel insurance.

I purchased your insurance for all of our family members for our trip to Europe. Only one family had to make a claim.
We missed our connecting flight upon our return to the US. Three families made a later flight, but one had to rent a car one-way to our home city due to lack of space on the flight. They filed the claim and were reimbursed for the cost of the rental unit. No hassles whatsoever. I would highly recommend your insurance to other travelers.

Thank you for providing your feedback which we have also forwarded to Nationwide to review with the claims department. We also offered you an "Anytime" advocate who could review the claim with Nationwide on your behalf.
Travel insurance is regulated by the states. Nationwide, along with all travel providers, will only pay the claims based on the terms and conditions stated in the policy. All travel insurance is written on a "named peril" basis which means that only those perils/hazards that are specifically listed in the policy are covered. These "named perils" may differ according to policy and may even vary by state.
Unfortunately, there is no one policy that will cover everything that could occur during a trip. It is important for travelers to take the opportunity to review the terms and conditions of a plan on our website prior to purchasing.
In the future, if you are looking for guidance in selecting a travel insurance plan, please consider contacting our office at 800-487-4722 where a licensed representative would be happy to assist you.
I didn’t have any claims which is great - I am a firm believer that if you prepare for the worst, it probably won’t happen. Having this policy gave me peace of mind that if something did go wrong, we would be covered.

I didn't have to use the plan, but it seemed to be comprehensive and was a bit less expensive than other plans I have gotten in the past through the tour companies I was using. I appreciated that!
My experience with InsureMyTrip was effecient and prompt.
