We did not need health care coverage so InsureMyTrip advised us which plan to purchase. We ended up getting all the coverage that we needed without paying an exorbitant price. We did not need to use it but were very happy to have the piece of mind as one of our flights was delayed by three hours and if it had been delayed any longer, we would have missed our connection to the boat.

It gave us the coverage that we wanted for a good price. We like the ability to have minimum coverage for trip cancellation and still get the maximum benefits for trip delay, interruption, baggage delay and medical and evacuation expenses.

We had to file a claim for the first time ever because one of us got sick on the trip. They handled it quickly and with no hassle. The claim form itself was detailed, but also easy to complete. While trip insurance seems somewhat expensive to me, it's a lot more expensive not to have it!
