Peace of mind getting this insurance just in case of emergency was key for me purchasing this insurance.
Since part of my 34 day vacation included walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, then onto France, it was vital that I was insured just in case I got hurt, got a delay in any of the flights or encountered any emergency listed on Global Alert!
I did not need it, but will purchase again in the future.
I had a wonderful time being insured for 34 days, with no worries.

Yes, I was mostly satisfied with this insurance plan. Since I did not file any claim for reimbursement, I cannot comment on the claims process. Coverage offered by this plan appeared to be excellent in several areas. I would purchase this plan or similar one again for future travels.

Did not have to use - but would want to know ahead of time if luggage is lost - it is a HUGE process to file a claim...must itemize everything that was in your bag, along with receipts for everything in your bag or if no receipts you will have to spend hours researching possible replacement costs and submit those print outs.....thank goodness my son's bag showed up.....but probably not worth it in the future for us - as the lost baggage piece was one of the most important to me. However, it did give me peace of mind for overseas travel - but likely will not buy again.

This was my first experience with travel insurance. I was unaware of the restrictions accompanying typical polices. I did not know, for example, that I had to obtain the insurance within 15 days of my initial payment for my trip in order to be eligible for pre-existing conditions coverage. This meant that for my August trip, I would have had to buy the insurance in January to have pre-existing conditions covered! I believe that I knew intuitively that the closer one gets to the trip date the more expensive would be the coverage so I was not surprised by that but only the amount that the difference would be.

Plans do vary on their terms and conditions which qualify you for the Preexisting Condition Waiver which is available within 10 to 21 days of your Initial Trip Payment depending on the plan you select. We also offer several plans which offer the waiver if you purchase the policy prior to or on the date of final payment. Very slow. Supplied requested info and waited then asked for additional info. Sent requested confirmation they received it no response add 30 days waiting then another 3 weeks before payment. Very poor communication.
