Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
The most important tthing you need is the emergency evacuation policy, as most medical plans do not cover that. Second would be the trip interruption and/or cancellation.

First of all, we would like to thank you for the review. We did want to clarify that all Comprehensive Plans listed on our website include Medical, Emergency Medical Evacuation and Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption coverage. Our Medical plans include Medical, Emergency Medical Evacuation and Trip Interruption but usually only for return air if you must return home early due to the death of an immediate family member or destruction of your home due to fire or a natural disaster.
I would have liked to have electronic items included in the coverage since these are the items most likely to be damaged or stolen. However, I did have peace of mind that I was covered if any mishaps were to occur.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The M.H. Ross Advantage Asset plan provides a combined maximum limit of $600 total for the following items: personal computers, radios, cameras, camcorders and their accessories and related equipment and other electronic items. For an additional $15, an extended personal property pac can be added on to this plan.
"1) the exclusions which apply to Baggage/Personal Effects and Baggage Delay section is amended to delete the following exclusions:
professional or occupational equipment or property, whether or not electronic business equipment; and telephones; and
2) the combined maximum limit section of the Baggage/Personal Effects coverage is amended to delete the following items:
personal computers and their accessories and related equipment.
Coverage on property listed in items #1 and #2 above is subject to a $100 deductible per occurrence.
The maximum limit of liability for items #1 and #2 above is $1,000."
I did not have occasion to use the plan I purchased but it was worth it for peace of mind, particularly after seeing the hospital in Granada, Nicaragua. From the outside, it appeared to be a bit on the "outback clinic" side of healthcare although it could easily have been state of the art on the interior. If a major injury or illness would have occurred, having the insurance would have helped.
