Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
While we did not need to make a claim, we had peace of mind that any covered events would be taken care of for this trip. A trip like ours with a large investment of time and money is worth protecting!

Having extra coverage while traveling out of the country provided me piece of mind, even though I didn't need to use it. It was worth the price for me!

We cancelled our trip in January, and asked if there would be any refund. We were told that no refunds are given. So, in essence. We paid for absolutely no service.

When you purchased your Worldwide Trip Protector plan back on 08/28/2018, Crum and Forster Travel Insured did offer you a 14 Day Review Period:
"FOURTEEN DAY LOOK: If You are not satisfied for any reason, You may cancel insurance under this Policy by giving the Company or the agent written notice within the first to occur of the following: (a) 14 days from the Effective Date of Your Insurance; or (b) Your Scheduled Departure Date. If You do this, the Company will refund Your premium paid provided no Insured has filed a claim under this Policy."
Since you apparently canceled this trip back on 01/22/2019, you were well outside the 14 Day Review Period, so there would be no refund of premium. However, we did transfer you to the Crum and Forster Travel Insured's claims department in the event that you wished to file a claim.
If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-487-4722 and we will be happy to assist you.
We have received the following reply from Travel Insured International | A Crum & Forster Company:
"We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience. We advise all of our customers to read the plan documents, and to reach out to us with any questions regarding our plans before, during and after their trip. We hope you consider us in the future, thank you."
