Got Covid-19 five days prior to departure and had to cancel the first part of our trip. Spent almost $6k to get short-notice air tickets for the revised itinerary. Claim just got paid. Took nearly 5 months, but got paid in full! Totally restored my faith in travel insurance, or at least my faith in AXA.

a portion of our trip had to be cancelled therefore our plan had to be changed and a portion of the original cost refunded. emailed the situation with docs to Nationwide CS and it was addressed timely.
each call to CS was answered by a real person and issue addressed. Good policy and customer service.

Overall solid plan and would recommend. The one item that I thought fell short was the daily $150 for expenses if delayed. For me, in France, it would have been impossible to come even close to that amount. Limit of $2000 was good but daily was low.

I was looking for additional medical coverage and was able to find a plan that had what I wanted as well as a few little extras for a reasonable price. Thankfully I didn’t need to make a claim but it was worth having peace of mind.

C&F Travel Insured InternationalWorldwide Trip Protector Plus
A plan is only as good as the function of it during a claim processing. Fortunately we did not need to file any claims for our trip. All went well. It gave us peace of mind to know we had the insurance coverage if needed. Traveling is not inexpensive nor is insurance but in our opinion, they go hand in hand.
