Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! I paid extra for the cancel for any reason. My trip has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus and a travel ban to the country I was trying to go to. I was told cancel for any reason would get me 75% of my money back. My booking site is shut down due to the virus and I filed a claim on March 31st (over 3 months ago) Called them multiple times. Emailed with them multiple times. They still haven't refunded me. I could only imagine what they would do if there was a true emergency. Save your money and look for other companies that stand by their word and care about their clients. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your claim experience, but have received word from the provider this claim has been resolved. Due to the pandemic most providers are uncharacteristically behind.
First vacation that we felt value added in trip insurance since honeymoon ~20 years ago. Were very satisfied with coverage, but have very little experience to compare against. (Thankfully) Did not have to file claim for anything, so cannot speak to claim services.

It was a good value for the cost of the coverage. Thanks God I don't have to use my purchased insurance. It will give you peace of mind and I wasn't worrying about my vacation.

We almost had to file a claim for lost luggage. After looking at the requirements to file a claim it would be virtually impossible for any one to have documentation and receipts for personal items in the suit case. Who keeps receipts for clothing that could be several months or longer old and for a suitcase that may be several years old?
It seems bogus to even offer lost luggage protection.
Thank Goodness that the cruise line found our luggage and is shipping it to us.

Thank you for your comments. Whereas your homeowners policy provides Personal Property coverage on a Replacement Cost basis, your iTravelInsured SE plan, as do most travel plans, provides Baggage coverage on an Actual Cash Value basis. Actual Cash Value represents the purchase price of an item less depreciation of the item's value since you bought it.
You are correct in stating that most people would not have receipts for many items. Although many of our policies require receipts for reimbursement of any item, your iTravelInsured plan does make an exception:
"For claimed items without original receipts, payment of loss will be calculated based upon fifty percent (50%) of the Actual Cash Value at the time of loss, not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per article."
Although that amount would still be much less than expected, your policy does still offer broader coverage than most travel plans. Nevertheless, the best Personal Property coverage would always be provided by your homeowners policy.
