Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
The only complaint I have is that there was a delay of almost 2-months before my claim was completed and I received a check from "Seven Corners". Otherwise, the plan was fine, it covered my injury, and the customer service representatives were prompt in processing my claim. Whatever happened between that time and the time it took for me to receive the check is a mystery.

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
Since Comprehensive policy premiums are calculated based on trip cost, age of traveler and length of trip, it is possible for travel companions to see differences in their policy premiums. However, you did purchase a reliable and competitively priced plan for your trip regardless of the difference in premium.

We were very impressed with the speed and courtesy extended to us when we had to make a claim. We had to be emergently evacuated from the Himalayas which interrupted our incredible trek. TravelexClaims covered everything we asked for. After this experience, we will use travel insurance always!!!

I chose the AXA Assistance USA Gold plan because it best fit my travel needs for the premium charged. Unfortunately, the trip to Nepal was cancelled due to the terrible earthquake there. My trip deposit was refunded from the tour operator, but I did not notify AXA Assistance USA because I understood that no refund is available for trip insurance premiums.

Thank you for replying with your comments on this policy. You are correct that there is generally no premium refund if you request to cancel your plan outside the policy review period. Since you purchased this plan back on 04/15/2015, your AXA plan provided you with Trip Cancellation for various reasons up until your trip was cancelled by the travel provider in March 2016, so it would be unlikely that AXA would agree to refund your premium.
