We purchased this policy to guard against various risks on our trip after comparing a number of offerings. The website was great at facilitating our research and decision-making. Best of all, none of the risks came up so we enjoyed ourselves and did not have to file any claims.

Just hope you don't have to file a claim! We paid nearly a thousand dollars for a policy that contains MAJOR exclusions written in the fine print about stolen baggage - both a long list of items and conditions under which they will not cover a loss. We specifically chose a plan with baggage protection, only to be told a month after our claim was filed they would not cover our loss because our travel bags were stolen from a locked car. Find another insurance company that does not play this kind of game with customers to avoid paying for situations you may find yourself in through no fault of your own. Made a rotten travel experience even worse to know the insurance you purchased was worthless.

This policy covered most of the items I was interested in but not all. If the motorcycle I requested to rent (in order to fit me and thereby enable me to safely ride it) was not available when I got there this policy would NOT have covered me for the trip and tour expenses. The tours have you sign a waiver and trip insurance doesn't cover you if they can't deliver what they promise. I had to take it on faith that the tour company would in fact provide the model I requested. There should be a way to buy trip insurance to cover this potential type of problem.

I am very happy to say that although it took a while for resolution to my claim, I did get a completely fair and just solution to my claim. I do understand with the Covid pandemic that delays are not unusual and understandable but nonetheless great customer service revolves on addressing consumer concerns which definitely was done. I would recommend both InsureMyTrip and Generali Global Assistance Insurance wholeheartedly and not hesitate to tell my family and friends this and look forward to using again once worldwidetravel becomes more available and safe. Thanks again for listening and acting positively on my claim.

Thank you for your review. Most plans come with a review period in which you are able to review the policy and cancel for a refund. Once you are outside of the review period typically no refund will be issued but we can request to transfer the policy to a future trip, to not lose the insurance premium.
