Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Compared travel insurance coverage before deciding on this plan. Coverage seemed to be good value for the premium I payed.
Can't comment on the actual integrity of the plan or the company providing it, because we had no occasion to file a claim. Insurance is like an umbrella, you only need it when it's raining. But, if you don't have it, you can get soaked.

I filed a claim for a non-refundable hotel reservation that I was unable to use due to the cancellation of my cruise by the cruise line. It was processed quickly and I received the refund within just a couple of weeks.

In order to fully review what is covered and what is not, it would be best to review the policy terms and conditions. When comparing quotes, you will note that some items appear in blue which are hyperlinks to more detailed information.
All of our policies include the full insurance certificate, which explains all of the terms, conditions, and exclusions for that specific policy. We understand this document can be confusing at times, and our licensed insurance experts are always happy to explain any part of the insurance policy.
Every claims situation is going to be different. Please keep in mind that if an emergency arises, contact your insurance company as soon as reasonably possible! Each policy includes a claims phone number and 24-hour assistance phone numbers for both inside and outside of the United States, ensuring that you can get in touch with your insurer at any time.
One fact that cannot be stressed enough is to save your receipts and proof of expenses so that you can be accurately reimbursed, whether it be costs due to a delay of travel for hotel or meal, or medical records for emergency treatment received. This is especially important for medical care received overseas, as it can be incredibly difficult to get this paperwork once you have returned home. For filing a claim, nothing is more important than having accurate documentation for your loss.
Although the process may appear daunting, you must follow a similar process with all providers if you wish to file a claim. However, you can plan for a possible claim prior to your departure by keeping a file of all transactions for your trip.
Was not able to get refunded because I had to purchase my insurance the same time I purchased my trip which was NOT clearly stated. Very disappointed with Nationwide and will NEVER recommend to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. Although we regret that your claim to cancel your trip because you had to work was denied, your Nationwide Mutual Choice Cruise plan does explain that this Trip Cancellation benefit only reimburses you if your cancel for work reasons if this coverage was purchased within final payment for the Trip. Your documentation showed that payment for the Trip was on January 30th, 2019 and our records indicate that the policy was purchased after that date on February 25th, 2019. Regrettably, your claim does not qualify for reimbursement if you cancel for work reasons.
I have purchased travel insurance many times over the years, this is the first time I have had to file a claim. Arch Roam Right was very easy to use, quick to respond to I was reimbursed very quickly. I would definitely use the again.

I opted to get this plan because my traveling companion's mother is older and we just can't predict the future. If something had happened, I had the peace of mind to know (or think I know) that our trip was insured and we wouldn't lose the money paid for the trip. Since I didn't actually have to use the insurance, I can't say whether the coverage was good ...it appears to be and my parents have had to use it in the past and they were happy with the coverage. So, that's good enough for me ...if you knew my mom and their travel companions :) !
