I had to cancel our trip due to a serious medical condition. It took probably two months for the claim to be processed and paid out. It was a lengthy process but they did pay out the full amount, so I think it was fair.

The coverage was what I was looking for on my trip. About 10 days before my cruise, my mother (not traveling with me) had a medical incident and I was told she had days to live. I immediately canceled my cruise. Had I waited until she passed, there would have been less paperwork, but I knew I wasn't going, and she did eventually pass before the cruise. I opened a claim and then submitted all of the paperwork, including doctors notes, since she was still alive at the time of the cancellation. There is a lot of paperwork to prove payment, cancellation, loss of funds, medical reports, etc. It is a bit much, and some of it is confusing, but they are helpful over the phone. In less than one week, I was notified that my claim was approved. A great company and a great response. I will be buying from them in the future.
