We had the best possible outcome- we did not use the travel insurance. However, we were flying from China to New York City when the news was filled with a predicted blizzard at JFK. It was comforting to know that if we had been delayed or had to stay in China that we would have had the policy to cover unanticipated expenses.

The coverage was good and the claim was handled fairly in my opinion.
The processing time was too long. It was received on January 17th and we did not receive compensation until March 9th.
When you charge for insurance even when coverage starts 8 months out, you want your money immediately. Cash flow is also important to the customer.

Great. Simple to sign up. I ended up needing to see a doctor and get lab work in Australia. I called the company and they were great, willing to find me a doctor, but I asked if I could go to my daughter's doctor. They said sure! I turned in receipts upon my return and was reimbursed. Good company!

I feel I can't give 5 stars simply because I did not have to use the insurance. That's where you really know the quality of a plan and the staff who stand behind it. The purchase process was easy and all paperwork was provided in a timely manner. InsureMyTrip had an app I downloaded. I was prepared, but fortunately did not need to use the insurance.
