I wasn't thinking about medical coverage at all when I purchased this plan, but I broke my arm while on vacation in Ireland. As soon as I returned home, I filed a claim. I expected a lengthy process and requests for more paperwork. Instead, I received a check for all of my expenses within about two and a half weeks.

I aways get travel insurance. Usually from Insure My Trip. This time, once we were away, a newly threatened Heathrow strike would have caused huge confusion. Our insurance would have covered our layover hotel, food and money for an alternative way home. This was a great comfort. Luckily for us the strike was postponed. We got home as planned. Trip insurance is so very worth it.
