The process to submit a claim is entirely by mail (I imagine it's designed to make you not want to file). I had a claimable event happen on this trip, but my loss was only $75 and I am in the process of moving, so doing a claim by mail wasn't worth the hassle in the end.

You actually got to speak to a representative when things did not go as planned!
Reps were understanding and explained things in clear English.
After I filed my claims, they called me to let me know that all had been approved and I would receive reimbursement within 1-2 weeks.
The whole experience took just about a month from them receiving my claim.

My wife and I came down with Covid-19 while on a guided hiking trip to Glacier National Park. We had to leave the trip and self-quarantine for five days before returning home. World Trips processed our claim promptly and reimbursed us for the lost trip segment plus the additional costs that we incurred in staying in self-quarantine.

I did not need any services provided by this insurance, so I don’t really know how well Nationwide services a claim. But, the price was competitive with others, and the fact that you are located in the same state I live in, made me feel more comfortable.
