I was very pleased with the complete coverage we had and very glad also I didn't have to utilize any of it. Would not hesitate to use this coverage again when the need arises.

Luckily I did not have to use it but it is good to know it is there.
Our travel companions had to cancel right before the trip
I know they had a lot of paper work to fill out

Thank you for providing your feedback. There are 3 main factors that determine premium costs: the cost of the trip, the length of the trip, and the travelers' ages.Â

Had to use the cancel-for-any-reason benefit due to Hurricane Florence forecast for our home location. To qualify under the cancel-no-later-than-48-hours-prior-to-start-of-trip requirement, we had to pull the trigger prematurely based upon the forecast at the time. The dire forecast caused the two local (VA/MD) state governors and the DC mayor to declare states of emergency, so we were anticipating the possibility the airlines might pull out their equipment and fly everything to a safe harbor prior to our initial outbound flight.
In hindsight, we could've begun our trip safely, as Florence turned south instead of coming ashore directly over our home area. At 48-hours prior to departure, though, the decision came down to either "cancel" (and submit a claim to get 75% of our nonrefundable costs back), or "don't cancel" (and risk losing 100% of our costs if we couldn't fly out to get to the ship's departure port in time).
We submitted C&F Travel Insured's extensive forms and substantiating documentation for our claim online, and it was processed within a business week. Currently on their web site our claim status shows our check is "in the mail" for arrival in "5-7 days".
