Now that my claim has been settled, I would say I am satisfied. Trying to get through on the phone to customer service was quite a challenge. However kudos to customer service representative. I would give the company five stars. She was extremely helpful and assured me that this claim would be handled effectively, fairly and to my satisfaction. It’s employees that make a difference when dealing with a big corporation. So overall I would give the insurance company a good rating .

The Safe Travels Voyager Plan provided me with the peace of mind I needed with all the variables Covid-19 presented. The possibility of testing positive just before the flight or cruise, losing double occupancy discounts, or being put into isolation upon returning to the US, and all the cancellations due to labor shortages were all things out of my control. This plan was affordable too.

We ended up having to file a claim for trip delay (due to weather) and related additional expenses. Process of filing was straightforward and the company promptly paid us the trip delay benefit.

The claim was received on 11/4/21. It took 3 months to be paid. I sent several notes to check on it & got replies back that it was in line. It finally came back paid today. Paid well. I had sent in lots of documentation.

I ended up changing both the destination and dates for my trip and Trawick was able to accommodate me and covered my new trip and I even got a refund for the premium difference between the two.

It is always good in this day and age to have something to fall back on during any trip planned. I did not need to use the insurance but I am glad it was there if needed.

The pre-existing condition coverage was hard to understand. I don't understand what the first date of purchasing my trip and the last payment I made had anything to do with a pre-existing condition.

Thank you for your review. The waiver of Pre Existing Conditions is a time sensitive benefit. If you wait too long, or on some plans purchase after you have made your final trip payment, coverage for pre existing medical conditions will no longer be available. You must buy travel insurance soon after your first trip payment/deposit in order to meet the deadline for qualification. Typically, the requirement is anywhere from 10-21 days after the deposit. The cost of plan was reasonable. Easy to purchase from Insure My Trip website. Fortunately, all went well on our trip and we didn't need travel insurance. But, always good to have.
