Unfortunately, we did have to cancel our safari and file a claim, but AXA was fantastic with their speed and ease of filing. We had bought the Cancel For Any Reason benefit, in addition to the "usual" that they offered. In this case, since it was a medical reason, AXA paid 100% of our non-reimbursed costs of the safari. We always buy this insurance and will continue to buy AXA's product. Excellent!

Travel Select
Travelex did cover a large amount of our claim and were responsive to requests for clarification. That said, the process was very cumbersome. We filled out pages and pages of paperwork to process the claim, which took months, and then they mailed us a check with no explanation. The process was certainly not easy, nor simple, after experiencing an incredible trauma on vacation.

However, we are sorry to learn that you were dissatisfied with the claims process. Typically, Travelex claims department has a reputation for being fair and prompt. It's usually a little bittersweet to have insurance you don't use, and it's by far the best thing to do when traveling. Insuremytrip does a great job of helping customers figure out which plan is best; I'm glad we bought what we did, and we'll be back for our next trips!
