Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
It was a great comfort to know that we had sufficient coverage while traveling. Thankfully, it wasn't needed but the price of the premium was well worth the piece of mind for us. Peace of mind is what it is all about and you cannot put a dollar sign on that.

On all of my cruises, I purchased insurance for possible travel delays and medical. On this trip to Australia, I built in some pre and post time so that medical was my major concern. Nationwide Mutual Insurance Universal Cruise Plan seemed to offer the medical coverage I was looking for. Then while we were on the cruise, my wife became sick and had to go to the ship's infirmary. When we returned, I filed a claim for the medical expenses; Nationwide reimbursed me for the costs. The claim process was straight forward and the claim was processed very quickly.
Although this was the first time I have used Nationwide, I would use them again and also recommend them to others.

I actually asked to cancel my plan, not because of any fault of theirs, but because I didn't realize my hosts had purchased a plan for me when they bought my ticket. I was past the 10 day cancellation time by another 10 days. And they generously cancelled my insurance. Yes, totally, insure with them, they are real people!

Since I didn't have any 'incidences' and I didn't file a claim, I can't rate my Insureand Go Global Platinum Insurance plan other than to say it is always a 'peace of mind' to have Trip Insurance prior to travel.

Its difficult to provide a complete evaluation since I had no claims. It would be beneficial if you or the broker had data that rated claims experience.
I hope I never had have a claim, but without one you can't conclude how good the plan and insurer are.

I had been wanting to go to Australia for a long time and I finally did it. Unfortunately, when I landed in Brisbane, my luggage was not there. It had not made it out of the United States. As you can imagine, this was as stressful situation for me and put a damper on the trip. However, once I got home I started pulling together the necessary information to file the claim. It took me a while to get the whole thing submitted because I had a couple questions and the customer service phone number was listed as being available during my normal work hours. I had lost one of my receipts (I thought I had saved them all but one must have still been in the bag when I threw it away). I was still able to claim this item by using my bank statement. I also mistakenly discarded a lot of re-routing paperwork from when the airline finally got the baggage to me. At the moment, I didn't realize this was necessary (it wasn't a purchase receipt), but I was able to get the airline to send me an email confirming that my luggage had indeed been delayed and that was acceptable. I expected the insurance company to decline my claim out of hand and then I would have to appeal, but it was paid on the first submission. No additional paperwork or information was requested. RoamRight reimbursed me for the full maximum allowed under my policy.
