Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
We had a great trip to Alaska and we didn't have to file any claims. It was worth the cost just to have the security that if something had happened, we had coverage to lessen any out of pocket expenses. Travel insurance is well worth the price in our book.

The one thing I requested assistance with was not provided, despite the fact that the CSA website said they could assist. I thought I had lost my passport. Based on my CSA plan documents indicating you could help with lost or stolen travel documents, I contacted CSA and was given no assistance or guidance whatsoever. After being bounced around to three different extensions, all the representative said was, "your policy doesn't cover passport replacement." No help with how I should solve my dilemma, who I should call, etc. Just a waste of precious time I couldn't afford to waste while I was trying to beat the clock to save my vacation. Why claim that you can assist with stolen/lost travel documents if you can't? You made a stressful situation worse.

UPDATE: I'm very glad to report that CSA took the time to read and review my complaint and took corrective action to ensure others won't suffer the same fate. Their response, action to re-train those who dealt with me and the gesture of reimbursing my plan cost have restore my faith that they truly endeavor to make traveling worry-free. As such, I am amending my survey to indicate that I would (and WILL) use them again.
As we age, and our senior adult family members age, we have always taken insurance coverage to make sure we are covered. Fortunately, we have never had to file a claim for this reason, but feel certain we would be covered without issues. Thank you for providing your service!

Airline mechanical difficulties at the airport for last leg of the trip, delayed flight by 1 hour, only because another plane was available. If this problem had occurred at the originating airport, where there was no other plane available, the cruise ship would have already sailed away. Having Trip Interruption coverage was worth the peace of mind, knowing that eventually we would catch up at a port further into the journey and have the costs covered.
