A total disaster and misrepresentation of the services to be provided. My wife (72 yers old) broke her arm in Croatia. Before going to the hospital I called emergency number provided to find out what I needed to get from the hospital. Got the itemized bill requested. After I'm back at my hotel call emergency number again to give an update of her condition and get assistance in alternative travel back home. Was told I needed additional paperwork from hospital which is an hour away. No assistance was to be given until I had the proper forms they would email to me filled out by the hospital and attending MD. This was ridiculous. We were left to make our own way home without your help. Not once did any representative even ask how my wife was doing. At a time of crisis you were no where to be found.

The prove on this plan is when one has to make a claim. Since I have never made a claim I cannot review or make judgement on this plan. the purchase process when well and that is all that i can attest to.
I would like to see coverage of preexisting conditions extended for a longer period after initial payment on trip is made.

I have used Insuremytrip a number of times to cover my medical insurance needs while traveling abroad. Since I have never had to file a claim (thankfully), I cannot comment on the claims process with respect to any of the carriers I have used. However, I can say that the process of purchasing a policy is straightforward and painless and that I plan to continue using Insuremytrip. With respect to C&F, I chose one of their policies for my latest trip because it had the best coverage for my needs at a reasonable cost.

Although we completed our trip in April, I have waited to complete my review because I had a claim pending. I wanted to see what the results would be. I am happy to report that my claim for reimbursement for one missed day of our trip was compensated for very fairly. My husband and I received checks last week. The reporting process was not easy and took quite a bit of time, and then more information was requested. I would suggest that travelers maintain good files and keep everything in the event of needing to file a claim. I spoke to representatives on the phone who were very helpful and pleasant. I will use insuremytrip.com for all future trips.

Travelex Insurance Services empathizes with your wife’s unfortunate accident while on your trip. We hope your wife is healing and doing well.
We did contact On Call International (On Call), our travel assistance provider, on your behalf for a review of your wife’s case. On Call confirmed that within the first phone call there was reference to needing a medical report, a fit to fly form, and itemized receipt, along with information about assisting with medical expenses, should the need arise while you were on your trip. On Call also advised us that they will use your feedback to help make this process smoother and clearer in the future.
It is important to remember that certain paperwork is required for On Call to assist in getting travelers home as they need to ensure that the doctor has confirmed that travelers are fit to fly for safety reasons.
