During these difficult times it was nice to have the assurance that if anything did happen we would be covered by the insurance package. Evacuation from a foreign country was a nice part of the package along with the medical care. Will purchase again for another trip.

Did not have to use, but nice knowing I didn't have to worry. I wasn't happy that I had booked a tour for Sydney back in August but I forgot to add it to my insurance and it was going to cost me $200. to add just before I left. Thankfully I didnt have to cancel and it was only $190.00 tour. Might think twice about that next time I have to have Travel Insurance. And I had proof that I had book when I purchased my insurance. When you have a booking way in advance it is hard to think of everything. I think you should be more lenient in that respect.

    Thank you for taking the time to reply to our request. We certainly agree that it is difficult to recall every item if you book way in advance. However, in that event, you may add additional trip expenses after you purchase a policy. We suggest that you call us within 10-21 days (policy specific) of adding the additional expenses so we can re-quote your policy and add the trip cost onto your existing policy.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
My husband had a freak accident that required him to be hospitalized overnight. We thought he was fine, and would be able to complete our tour, but a day later, (and in a different city), he had to be readmitted, and stayed for three nights.
The medical team at AIG was very supportive and kind. They reminded me to save ALL receipts (including taxi receipts for when I visited my husband in the hospital) and emailed me the needed forms. They suggested I take a photo of the medical charges and email the photo to them so they could get the claim started.
In the end, I was reimbursed for 100% of the cost of the trip, which covered all of our out of pocket expenses and reimbursed us for the days we lost.
It took about 5 weeks for the claim to be processed, and the web site was not very helpful. It showed that I had outstanding items to submit, even after the claim was paid. But the people on the phones were very helpful and courteous.
Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the coverage.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
The claim filing process was arduous and a lot of time was wasted. My husband's crown broke during our tour and we went to a dentist, requiring a detour from our main trip plus dental fees. I didn't notice that the plan only covers natural teeth, not crowns. We called the insurance company to get the claim started. They should have been able to tell us right then that it wasn't a covered incident. Instead we went through several months of filing forms and more forms and more forms to finally get an answer. This was a huge waste of time and shouldn't have happened. Yes, I should have read the policy more carefully, but they could have informed us right away and saved everyone a lot of trouble. The other thing that happened is that the claim kept getting stuck in limbo. I would have to call and ask about it before they told me that another form was needed.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with the policy. Unfortunately, it is standard practice for most travel insurance policies to limit dental coverage to cover an accidental injury to a natural, sound tooth.
    Per your certificate:

    "Benefits will include up to 750USD expenses for emergency dental treatment due to Injury to natural teeth."

    A claim can never be pre-determined before documentation is submitted. However, we do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Unfortunately, I had to go to a hospital emergency room because of a lingering illness while traveling in Australia. After returning home, I called I Travel Insured to report the claim and get the claims process started. Their claim process was straightforward and easy, especially because I had all the needed documentation from the hospital and doctor and proof of payment. The claim was paid in less than 4 weeks after submission. In addition, a couple of items that were not paid were clearly explained to me in a letter that I received a week before I received the check. The reasons for denial were fair and seemed to comply with the policy. But the majority of the medical claim was paid with no additional follow up needed. I was and am extremely happy with their service. Through the years, I have had to file two other medical claims with different travel insurers. One was for myself and the other for my husband. By far, I Travel Insured's claims process, communication and prompt payment was heads above the other two companies. I highly recommend using this insurance and have just purchased another insurance policy with them for an upcoming trip.
