The plan was easy to purchase. I was able to speak with a customer service representative on the phone, as well as make the arrangements on my home computer. Since I don't travel much, and this was a big trip, I really appreciated the customer service.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our planned trip due to a family member illness. A claim was subsequently submitted and resolved satisfactorily. However, there was a minor glitch that required some insistent persuading on my part to overcome. One of the claim items was a fee imposed by the airline for returning the reward miles that had been used to book the flight to Europe. For some reason that still escapes me, the claim representative could not verify that the airline fee was related to the flight to Europe even after speaking to someone at the airline. I was asked to provide some kind of invoice which was ludicrous since the airlines don't work that way. When you incur an expense with them (like booking a flight) they expect immediate payment. Evidence of the payment was provided by a copy of the charge account statement. We had also incurred the same kind of fee with another airline, yet no further supporting documentation was requested for that part of the claim. This matter had to receive supervisory approval to be paid! It still makes no sense to me. Having said all that, the claim was paid in full so I am satisfied.

The plan seemed fine. Happily I had no need to use it. In ski areas I learned that evacuation insurance was available at a minimal cost when one purchased a lift ticket. If aware of this I might have opted for a lesser package.

Just before we left, I couldn't find my insurance card. I called 7 corners and the call was answered promptly by a nice lady. She was able to give us the ID # and emailed the card info to me as confirmation. Good customer service.
