I see lots of reviews about the purchasing side of travel insurance, but not much about claims. I want to commend AXA for their professional and helpful assistance in transacting and paying my claim. I needed to cancel for medical reasons. They asked for reasonable supporting documents and paid within two weeks of filing.

InsureMyTrip allowed me to compare plans and prices on-line. The CSA Travel Protection custom plan was the least expensive plan with the level of coverage I needed. Fortunately I didn't have to make a claim but would be interested in the comments of someone who did.

I did not file a claim so do not know about your response in time of need. I can say that the information provided pre-trip and the written documentation I received were very adequate. The price was competitive for the coverage I wanted.

Like all insurance, it's best when you don't need it, but I'm always a bit more assured when I do. CSA has met my needs twice now; I expect I'll re-up next year.
