Always buy trip insurance but have never used it. This trip was the closest to using it because of the death of a family member of a traveling companion. They did not however cancel their trip, however, just postponed the funeral. I have heard of too many issues people have, so I always like to be covered with a high medical policy since my husband and I are in that senior category.

We are sorry to learn your trip was canceled. Most of our providers have a strict review period in which a policy may be canceled and fully refunded. The CSA Custom policy has a 10 day review period from purchase where they would issue this refund.
Once you are outside your review period, and a refund is not available, we are able to request that your policy is transferred to a new trip. If you receive a full refund of your trip, and you have not filed any claims against your policy, we are more than happy in assisting you with this request.

Policy costs are a common customer complaint so it is important to keep in mind that policy premiums are based on the age of the travelers, trip cost per person and length of trip. Please feel free to call us for assistance if you would like our help in selecting a policy.
We researched several of these travel insurance companies to insure our non-refundable, costly plane tickets. Nationwide Mutual received good reviews online so we went with it. Fortunately, we didn't need the insurance plan, but we were glad to have it for peace of mind.
