Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
The plan covered our needs at a fair price. Because of my job I need cancellation for any reason coverage, and for us the most likely need beyond that is medical evacuation and medical coverage. This plan included cancellation for any reason coverage and an acceptable amount of medical evacuation coverage and health coverage. Many plans I looked at had these coverages at unacceptable levels or for a much higher price. This plan suited our needs pretty well.

Thank you very much for submitting this review. However, your International Medical Group iTravelInsured SE plan did not include the Cancel for Any Reason option, but it did automatically include Cancel for Work Reasons:
"q. You, Your Traveling Companion or a Family Member traveling with You is required to work during the Trip. A written statement by an unrelated company official and/or the human resources department demonstrating revocation of previously approved time off will be required. This benefit only applies if the Policy has been purchased within twenty (20) days of Your initial payment for the Trip..."

A claim was filed on our behalf for a major medical reason involving our daughter. We were told it's not covered and to read the exclusions. It would appear that the exclusions have exclusions. Either way the insurance has no value and the company will find a way to issue a denial. For our money this was a waste .

When we received your comments on October 31st, we assigned your potential claim to an advocate. Based on the information that you provided, our advocate called the Nationwide claims department who confirmed your telephone conversation and pointed out the applicable exclusion in the policy, so no claim was actually filed.
Of course, it is never good news to hear that there is no coverage in your policy for a medical issue. If you would like to call Customer Care to discuss this further, we are available to call at (800) 487-4722 Mondays through Friday from 7:00 AM to midnight and weekends 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. We would be very happy to explain the policy limitations and exclusions further so that you have this information for future travel.
Review is based on the purchase as we did not need to use it. I called to make the purchase and the representative was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to answer all my questions with various travel scenarios. They are not commission based, so there is no upselling. Would use Travelex again!

Was glad I had this, as storms and ice moved in a DAY AFTER we travelled. Some people missed the cruise because of storms, and it turns out I was right to be nervous travelling in January. Since then I've come across several stories of illnesses at sea, people being stranded in foreign hospitals, their health insurance not accepted, etc. Google on "medical emergency cruise ship" and you'll see. Nothing can keep me from cruising, but I will ALWAYS get travel insurance now.

I could most definitely recommend InsureMyTrip to everyone. In fact, we are repeat customers. Thank Goodness, we have not had to file a claim. However, one month before the trip our 4 1/2-year-old granddaughter tragically died in a home fire. I simply did not feel comfortable leaving my son alone so I called the cruise line and was told that I could gift my ticket to another person as long as my husband the principal was still cruising. We did so, but the cruise was in about 4 days. I called your Company and not only was able to procure last-minute insurance for the new traveler, but your Company actually refunded the entire amount that I had paid for my plan. We feel that this was above and beyond anything we expected. Every year I have purchased with InsureMyTrip, the agents have been very knowledgeable and courteous always making me feel that they are happy to make sure that all our requirements were met. This is especially important to me as my husband and I are in our 70's and he has some serious health issues. So, we would not ever think of insuring with anyone but IMT.
